Scott Hudnall graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.A. in Journalism in 2002. He started a contracting company in Kansas, and later worked in the construction, and financial industries in California and Arizona. In 2008, Scott earned a CELTA certificate at the International House-San Diego, and later became an ESL instructor in Santa Catarina, Brazil. He has since taught English and Business English in the U.S., Brazil, Portugal and Colombia; instructing both students and employees, and working in schools, institutes, banks, law firms, and in other professional arenas. In 2017, Scott earned his Master degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Emporia State University. After working for 10 years in the TESOL field, Scott and Nate teamed up to found O&H Solutions. | Nate Osborne graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in Marketing, B.A. in International Studies, and B.A. in Spanish. After graduating, he started working in a sales position for Lincoln Financial Distributors. In 2013, he decided to take a hiatus from the finance world and moved to Medellin in order to improve his Spanish. However, Nate’s plans changed and he decided to make a career in teaching English. He earned a TEFL degree and started working for EAFIT University. In his 5+ years as an English teacher in Colombia, he has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in both business and high school classrooms. |
Mike graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2012 with a BA in Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature. He’s always loved to travel, and in the past few years, he’s made his way to over 20 countries. As a way to see the world, Mike started teaching English as a profession in South Korea in 2014. He taught there for two years, and after obtaining his CELTA certificate in Thailand in 2016, made his way to Colombia. Mike has been living in Medellin for the past two years teaching English to students and adults, and has experience teaching all types of classes (TOEFL, IELTS, Business English, etc.). | Dr. Damien Le Gal obtained his Ph.D. in Sociolinguistics and Language Teaching from the European University of Brittany (France) in 2010 by researching the teaching of French and teachers´ use of textbooks in Brazil. After travelling overland to China, Damien moved to Taiwan for his post-doctorate on the cultural issues faced by Chinese speakers in their English learning. Damien moved to Medellín in 2012 where he first worked at the French Alliance before teaching at the Pontifical Bolivarian University in the Master in English as a Second Language. Afterwards, Damien worked as a researcher-teacher at the University Luis Amigó before quitting to go on two hikes from Mexico to Canada. He then taught English at the Language Center of the University San Buenaventura before now working with O&H Solutions. |
In 1999, Ruy chose to go to South Korea to begin a teaching career he had no idea he would fall in love with. Ruy has been teaching English for over 15 years, mostly in East Asia and South America. His experience teaching ESL grammar and TOEIC classes in Toronto turned him into a sort of grammarian where it has become something he feels very comfortable working with, but to him, classes aren't always about sweating through grammar. Becoming fluent requires work in the other key areas too: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Ruy has been living in Medellin for over seven years and is now firmly entrenched. It has become home for him. | Nacirfa Rose is from Seattle, Washington, and has been living in Medellín since 2012. Before landing in Medellín, Nacirfa was active in his community and worked in the Seattle area as a social worker, swim coach, and lifeguard. While completing a B.A. in Sociology and Comparative History at the University of Washington, Nacirfa had the opportunity to explore the world and fell in love with traveling. During his travels, he began teaching English, and has taught in countries such as South Africa and India. After graduating, Nacirfa earned a CELTA certificate at Universidad EAFIT in Medellín, where he also continues to teach. Nacirfa has over 10 years experience teaching, and loves interacting with students and learning about different cultures. In addition to traveling and teaching, Nacirfa enjoys spending his time cycling, cooking, playing video games, and reading. |
Rahul is from India and he obtained his degree in Business Administration in 2013. After graduating, he joined his family’s manufacturing plant as an operations manager. In 2018, he moved to Colombia to expand his horizons and explore a new culture. He obtained his TEFL certificate in 2019 and started working as a volunteer teacher for a non-profit in Medellin, Colombia. He has been working as an English teacher with clients from Bancolombia, Sura, EPM, among others. He enjoys sharing his culture and learning about his students through teaching. By coming in contact with different cultures and a diverse range of English speakers, he can adjust to various levels of fluency. His classes are focused on confidence-building and conversational skills. He incorporates fun activities to make sure his students enjoy the experience of learning. | Ben Yackley graduated from North Central College near Chicago with a B.A. in Spanish and later returned to school to get an accounting degree. He taught English in Costa Rica in the late 90’s. In 2000, Ben returned to the Chicago area and after working as a high school counselor and a police officer, found his niche as a compliance auditor at an accounting firm on behalf of labor unions. Later, he moved to the Seattle area and worked for a national staffing firm as a field auditor for the legal compliance team, advocating for workers’ rights. Ben decided that he wanted to return to Latin America and after earning a TEFL certificate, moved to Medellín. He specializes in teaching business English to professionals and providing translation services. Ben joined O&H Solutions in January 2020. |
Ariella Moses graduated from Ithaca College with a B.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications and a minor in legal studies in 2009. Her plan was to teach children English in South Korea for a year before law school; however, she decided to continue teaching and traveling instead. She taught 5th graders English in Veracruz, Mexico, and later she taught executives with Mexican House of language in Mexico City, where she also began writing educational content for Sistema Uno. After earning her CELTA at Teaching House in New York, she taught for ELS, a college preparatory program for international students on their way to study in University in the U.S. Ariella has always wanted to become fluent in a second language, so she moved to Medellin in 2019 to study Spanish and explore Colombia. She loves to travel, meet new people and learn about different cultures. | Vanessa graduated from the Public Accounting program from Politecnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza University in Medellín. She has a specialization in politics and tax management from the University of Medellin. For more than six years she worked with Pintuco, which is part of the Orbis Group. She worked as an accounting analyst for the company’s affiliates in Colombia and Central America. At the end of 2018, Vanessa decided to set out as an entrepreneur to provide accounting, financial, and tax services to business and individuals. She analyzes the specific needs of each client, and develops tailor-made solutions to address them. |
